“Two bad scenes in “Gardan Zani” and ”Hasht-Pa

Korous Sarhangzadeh has been away from the music scene for many years, but his name and works remain memorable. We have often heard his voice on the radio, and a few of his songs have been broadcast on TV. However, we do not recall networks airing the Shirazi song Delbar. This week, we heard it on the evening program Ava o Nava on the Education Network—a song that starts with: “Delam emrooz be aroumi khod khorde, vay joonam, vay delbar…”. The evening program Ava o Nava provides a great opportunity to listen to good songs and deserves a “Golden Speaker” award from the TV Ban editorial team.

  1. The third season of Sarnekh on Nasim Network is noticeably different from previous seasons—more mature and engaging. This time, Aria Taheri has handed hosting duties to Kamran Tafti and invited Hamidreza Pegah, Aidin Khataei, and Detective Talebian to assist participants. Majid Pataki plays the role of a police officer.

  2. Sarnekh 3 progresses with competition between two teams, including intelligence tests to identify the criminal, general knowledge challenges, physical fitness tests, and moving-shooting skills. Together, these provide an exciting and eventful show for viewers.

  3. The process of visiting crime scenes and interrogating suspects engages the audience, allowing them to attempt solving the case themselves. Ultimately, the program provides interesting information. Beyond entertainment, Sarnekh also contributes to crime prevention, serving as a subtle warning to viewers.

The troubles of Ehsan and “Joker”

  • Farhikhtegan Newspaper: The age restriction set by the Joker team is not just for under-15s—it seems the show is unsuitable for any age group.

  • Mehr News Agency: The sexual jokes, ambiguous remarks, and foolish antics fail to make audiences laugh, which is surprising given that such humor might work in male gatherings.

  • Tasnim News: Ehsan Alikhani, as host and director, must realize that vulgarity cannot sustain engaging humor. Despite all restrictions, the women’s season succeeded in creating a fun and laughable atmosphere.

  • Various media: A bizarre complaint with spelling errors was filed against Joker and Ehsan Alikhani, including references to “[touching of non-mahrams],” whose context and origin remain unclear.

Heavy makeup!
In the past, media often criticized TV presenters and actors for heavy makeup. Recently, complaints have resurfaced. According to Fars News Agency: “Concerned viewers launched a petition urging IRIB to pay more attention to modesty and hijab, collecting over 200 signatures. The petition states that in shows and series like Emarat and Gharibe, there are issues with female attire and heavy makeup, and requests that IRIB reconsider these portrayals.”

Positive notes after negatives
Although he hasn’t acted in many works, Alireza Khajeh-Nia has consistently impressed. In the series Hasht-Pa, he plays a police officer whose presence naturally draws attention—never overacting, but portraying his role convincingly and non-stereotypically. Previously, he appeared in Gasht Ershad 3, playing a negative role, yet avoided clichés. Khajeh-Nia is an emerging talent with potential for diverse roles.

Bagpipe censorship in “Gharbat”
Gharbat was suspended after three episodes, and the new airing of the series comes with censorship, mainly affecting the character Ehlam (Setayesh Rajae-Nia). For example, in episode seven, when Shahrukh asks Ehlam to play the bagpipe, her instrument and image are removed, leaving only a few seconds of a subtle lip movement. Such restrictions are regrettable, as the earlier depiction respected female musicians and honored Khuzestan’s rich musical heritage.

Proper use of footage

  • Editors play a crucial role in the final outcome of films and series, and their skill, perspective, and taste can determine success or failure. In Tank-Khoroha, the impact of editing is clear—Manouchehr Sanai enhanced the series’ quality significantly. In episode 16, the scene of soldiers counterattacking conveys simultaneous excitement, sorrow, hope, and more. The pacing is logical, slow motion is used appropriately, and wide and close shots are selected according to rules and principles. Sanai utilized the series’ footage perfectly.

  • In a hospital full of injured patients, a young nurse named Maryam (played by Maria Dabash) stands out, showing excellent acting through her expressions and gestures. We wish her success.
