The short film “The Fifth Note” is inspired by the ancient Greek myth, the story of Pygmalion and Galatea. Pygmalion was a talented sculptor and a harsh critic of women. With all his talent, he sculpted a statue of a woman, creating one of the most beautiful works of art in the world. Subsequently, he fell in love with the statue, and when Venus, the goddess of love, witnessed Pygmalion’s love, she agreed to grant his wish to meet a living girl as beautiful as his work of art, turning the statue into a real girl. A homeless man falls in love with a mannequin in the window of a women’s clothing boutique and visits her every day. One day, while looking at the mannequin, he sees his own reflection in it and is ashamed of his dirty and untidy appearance, so he decides to change his appearance and then goes to see the mannequin again.

He burns all the garbage he has collected, changes his clothes, and when he realizes that the owner of the boutique has thrown it away since he broke his leg, he returns to the mannequin. He searches everywhere, in all the trash cans and water channels, but he cannot find it and goes to the waste sorting station, where he is beaten by the workers there because he has messed up everything. The man, with dirty clothes and a bloody face, starts walking through the streets when he suddenly falls to the ground and sees a woman wearing the same clothes as the mannequin, limping as she walks.
