Premiere and Opening Screening of the Film “Marjan” Directed and Produced by Seyed Milad Banitaba Held at Honar-o-Tajrobe Cinema Group
The premiere and opening screening of the film Marjan, directed and produced by Seyed Milad Banitaba, took place on the evening of Tuesday, July 14, at the Cinema Museum, with the presence of the film’s creators, a number of artists, and members of the media, organized by the Honar-o-Tajrobe Cinema Group.
According to the public relations of Honar-o-Tajrobe, at the beginning of the ceremony, Milad Banitaba thanked the audience for their presence and reception, saying: “All of my colleagues and I who worked on this film tried to produce a work worthy of your respectful attention. Everyone involved in this film, from the crew to the actors, collaborated not for money, but out of passion and concern. We made a film that has something to say, addressing an important issue: violence against women.”
He continued: “We work in independent cinema, so I would like to ask all viewers, if you like our film, to be the voice of the film and introduce it to your friends so they too can support it. Being seen motivates us to create more good films, films worthy of your respectful attention.”
Banitaba also thanked all the team members who stood by him over the three years of producing and preparing the film for screening: “I am grateful to the Honar-o-Tajrobe Cinema Group and everyone who supported me so that the film could be screened despite the difficult circumstances, and also to the management of the Cinema Museum for providing this venue.”
Fereyd Sajadi Hosseini, one of the actors, also expressed his gratitude to the audience: “Today the hall is full of your waves of kindness and love. The feeling we have is influenced by your compassionate gaze, and we are always indebted to your attention.”
Another actor, Hamoon Sidi, who was not present at the ceremony, called in to thank and apologize to the audience, saying: “I appreciate your support and hope you enjoy the film and my performance.”
Manouchehr Sanayi, the film’s editor, also greeted the audience and said: “I believe it is the duty of every team member to give their utmost effort for the film. The delays in production were very challenging for the post-production team. We worked with several versions of the film, and not only I but all the team members devoted themselves wholeheartedly to the work, for which I thank them. Being part of this project was a great pleasure for me, and I felt the same joy watching it, and I hope you feel the same after seeing it.”
He added: “I kindly ask all audience members and cinema enthusiasts to support Honar-o-Tajrobe and independent cinema.”
